News From The Studio — March

March 2, 2026

Winter is still holding on, and I find myself wishing for spring. Every year, in these final stretches of cold, there’s a familiar shift: I begin to long for light, softness, and renewal—and that feeling always finds its way into the work.

This is the time of year when I do a deep clearing of the studio. I clean and replace brushes, sort through paints and materials, and make space—both physically and mentally—for something new to begin. There’s a quiet sense of reset in this process, a way of preparing the ground before the next series takes shape.

I’ve recently started a new landscape, just in its early stages, but already leaning toward a spring palette—lighter, more open, with a different energy than the winter work. I wanted to share a small glimpse as it unfolds.

Nature continues to be central to my inspiration. Even in winter, there are subtle signs of what’s coming: longer days, shifting light, the feeling of movement just beneath the surface. These moments of transition—between seasons, between stillness and growth—are often where the work feels most alive to me.

As always, thank you for following along and for spending time with the work. More soon.
